NEW Children's Book 'Bakery Bop' by Patti Friday

When the lights go out and the bakery door clicks shut, something magical begins…

Welcome to A.I. Cakes—that’s Absolutely Incredible Cakes—a famous little bakery in a small Ontario town. By day, it’s full of hungry customers and the sweet scent of frosting. But at night? Oh, that’s when the real fun begins!

As the moon rises, cakes come alive—leaping from their display cases and twirling onto the checkered floor. Under the sparkle of a disco ball and flashing spotlights, cupcakes, cheesecakes, Black Forest slices, and more turn the bakery into a wild, whirling ballroom.

Meet this zany gang of frosted, flaky, fabulous treats as they dance the night away doing the waltz, foxtrot, jive and Cha-Cha!

Full of energy, giggles, and sugary sparkle, Bakery Bop is a quirky, delicious romp for early readers—where bedtime means party time, and cake crumbs tell the story.

Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family Book

Pre-Order HERE
When news of the budding romance between a beloved English prince and an American actress broke, it captured the world’s attention and sparked an international media frenzy. But while the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have continued to make headlines—from their engagement, wedding, and birth of their son Archie to their unprecedented decision to step back from their royal lives—few know the true story of Harry and Meghan.
For the very first time, Finding Freedom goes beyond the headlines to reveal unknown details of Harry and Meghan’s life together, dispelling the many rumors and misconceptions that plague the couple on both sides of the pond. As members of the select group of reporters that cover the British Royal Family and their engagements, Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand have witnessed the young couple’s lives as few outsiders can.
With unique access and written with the participation of those closest to the couple, Finding Freedom is an honest, up-close, and disarming portrait of a confident, influential, and forward-thinking couple who are unafraid to break with tradition, determined to create a new path away from the spotlight, and dedicated to building a humanitarian legacy that will make a profound difference in the world.

American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins Lands on Oprah's Book Club List

También de este lado hay sueños. On this side, too, there are dreams.
Mexico has such a precious and protected place in my heart.  My Brother married a beautiful woman who was born and raised in Mexico.  My beloved Frida Kahlo came from the same city.  My extraordinary niece has the soul of her Mother's home country.  I have a loving extended family who lives in Mexico City.  For those reasons and many more, I am drawn to all things 'Mexican' - the stories, the people, the culture, the food, the colours, the landscape - the history and the style.  Recently I was walking on the beach near Tulum. I can't wait to read this new novel.

Lydia Quixano Pérez lives in the Mexican city of Acapulco. She runs a bookstore. She has a son, Luca, the love of her life, and a wonderful husband who is a journalist. And while there are cracks beginning to show in Acapulco because of the drug cartels, her life is, by and large, fairly comfortable.
Even though she knows they’ll never sell, Lydia stocks some of her all-time favorite books in her store. And then one day a man enters the shop to browse and comes up to the register with a few books he would like to buy―two of them her favorites. Javier is erudite. He is charming. And, unbeknownst to Lydia, he is the jefe of the newest drug cartel that has gruesomely taken over the city. When Lydia’s husband’s tell-all profile of Javier is published, none of their lives will ever be the same.

Forced to flee, Lydia and eight-year-old Luca soon find themselves miles and worlds away from their comfortable middle-class existence. Instantly transformed into migrants, Lydia and Luca ride la bestia―trains that make their way north toward the United States, which is the only place Javier’s reach doesn’t extend. As they join the countless people trying to reach el norte, Lydia soon sees that everyone is running from something. But what exactly are they running to?

American Dirt will leave readers utterly changed. It is a literary achievement filled with poignancy, drama, and humanity on every page. It is one of the most important books for our times.
Already being hailed as "a Grapes of Wrath for our times" and "a new American classic," Jeanine Cummins's American Dirt is a rare exploration into the inner hearts of people willing to sacrifice everything for a glimmer of hope.
