Winter Rural Landscape in Canada

Now that it's March

(le sigh)

I am holding on to the beauty

of these icy blues and

silhouetted treelines

I have a painter friend who paints

winter landscapes and the paintings

are always purple

.....not white

He says snow is blue and purple

It's time though...

to be given the warmth 

of precious Spring sunshine

Nothing makes one appreciate

Summer like a frigid cold

Winter

Anyone who participates in 

'Winter Things'

will miss this landscape

I will miss all the dark and cozy

hours of this season

but I cannot lie

I love heat!
