Beach Toy Inflatables

Well.
It's almost mid January.
Beach season is just around the corner.

I'm getting ready.

Have you ever seen my ice cream sandwich

Eat The Whole Cake

A dear friend explained a marvelous strategy for acknowledging a possible 'good news or bad news day'.

He explained:

1. Bake a cake.
2. Hide the cake in your bedroom.
3. If you get good news, go and get the cake - bring it to the kitchen and enjoy a delicious piece.
4. If you get bad news, go to your room and "Eat The Whole Cake".

.....and that's why I painted this today.

You can have your cake and eat it too right HERE.

Magnolia Bakery Cake Paintings

I just let go and when I did it reminded me of cake on a plate. (a la Magnolia Bakery NYC)

Uniting pillows of icing-coloured paint with my photographs of magnolias to create a visual plate of the most delicious canvas that is a slice of delicious cake! (Tongue-in-Cheek just for you.) on gallery wrapped canvas. Glossy coating for years of joy and preservation. Patti Friday Original. 2014

2013 Year In Review

I actually thought that I had accomplished very little in 2013.
Perhaps I still need to work very hard on this enduring
habit of being 'hard' on myself.

What I discovered was that my creative output was in fact
fairly abundant and that made me smile.

My work in 2013 was varied and satisfying.

I gathered a few hundred images to showcase and catalogue
(some) of my 2013 work.

If you would like to take a peek
it's over on my Facebook page.

I also ended 2013 by arriving at a party
very very very
Please join me on my new Instagram!

Thanks for being here with me in 2013.

Oooh! I tumble too. Here.

I wish you the bestest best of the best in 2014
Bestest is not a word and I don't care.

It sounds appropriate.

Love and Hugs

Graphic Punch Fall 2013

A leopard shawl never goes out of graphic style.

I am so into maxi skirts. Damn!

Graphic and Pirate. A deadly combination. Military style jacket made from quality stretch jersey fabric. Zip fastening to front and silver coloured buttons to front cuffs and epaulets on shoulders. Comes in black or navy but with the other accessories - of course, black.

You're Set.
Click on any of the images for details.

It's dreary, windy and cold here.
Autumn Breeze...ha!

Footprints in the Sand

One of the phrases I've been sharing lately on my Facebook cover images is 'Remember Who You Wanted To Be'.  I think it's a great message for all of us. Don't you?  For me, photography is like oxygen. I don't really have to remind myself of this fact, but I do have to remember some other things in my life - things I wanted to be.  These are my latest images available in my Imagekind shop.  (They remind me of those things.)  What I find interesting about the 'Footprints in the Sand' is the fact that it is a completely modern look at the imprints we leave behind. If you look closely you see the branded markings.  The 'Pirate Girl' above gives me a breath of fresh air and hope. You know that feeling when you feel the seaside breeze in your hair and the sunset on your face. Yes. That feeling. Hope you find these two photographs interesting and inspiring.
