The enormous, ultra-modern waterfall island is giving way to islands with personality.

• Contrasting stone

Search interest in rounded islands, curved peninsulas and arched kitchen features has already been climbing, suggesting that the softer geometry will continue into 2027.

The perfectly coordinated "Instagram house" is losing its appeal.
