Please share Tylers story to help educate, influence and make an impact on people, parents and children about the dangers and risks that should not be taken with kids under 14 on ATV's. ATV manufacturers offer guidelines on engine size for young rider's and safe ATV use. Most ATVs are equipped with a label detailing the manufacturer's and CPSC's recommended age for that particular model.

Between 2001 and 2011, 33% of ATV-related emergency-room visits were in kids younger than 16.

Friends rally to help Uxbridge family in wake of ATV accident that killed nine-year-old son.

UXBRIDGE -- Tyler Massey is being remembered as a boy who was always ready and willing to help, and friends of his family are honouring that legacy after his death by setting up a trust fund to help his family.
“We’re just trying to do absolutely anything we can to lessen the burden at this time,” said Elaine Galley, a friend of the Massey family, of the newly set up trust fund, which will help pay for funeral and burial costs.
“Tyler was just a happy kid, he always had a smile on his face and he was very, very kind. He was always laughing and always willing to help out.”
Tyler, 9, was killed on June 14 in an ATV accident at the Burnt River Off-Road Facility. OPP say the boy was injured when his ATV rolled. He was taken to hospital where he died of his injuries.
An avid fan of dirtbiking and motorcycle racing, Tyler was part of a motorcycle racing club organized by Ms. Galley’s husband, Scott Galley, who has spearheaded fundraising for the family.
“He was a great kid, always helpful to all the other families and kids at school, he goes to school with our daughter so we would see him every day,” Mr. Galley said, recalling Tyler offering to help him with some plumbing work while in his pajamas and all ready for bed.

“He was always willing to help no matter the time of day or what the circumstances were. He always wanted to be around people and always had a smile on his face. Whether it be at school with his classmates and teachers or at the track with his fellow riders, he was always smiling. He will be greatly missed.”
To donate to the trust fund send an e-transfer to ironarmplumbing@hotmail.com , password Tyler.
“It would be really appreciated,” Mr. Galley said. “At a time like this to deal with the loss of a child, they shouldn’t have to worry about anything else.”

Sing for the laughter, sing for the tear
Sing with me just for today
Maybe tomorrow the good Lord will take you away

Dream On, Aerosmith

I will miss you
The thick mud on your boots
Your smile, contagious
The joy you felt
From hill to trail

I will miss you
The happy laughter at home
Your hug, courageous
The dreams you had
From wish to win

I will miss you
The family that loves you
Your eyes, miraculous
The friends you have
From now to forever

I will miss you
The love we send you
Your memory, everlasting
The heartbeat we share
From today to eternity

I will miss you

To all of you near and far, here today in person and those not able to attend but who are holding Tyler in their thoughts.  We feel your love and support.  Thank you all so much for your kind words, your generous gifts, and most of all, for your friendship with Tyler.  Knowing you will miss him too makes our burden a bit easier to bear.
