Sleep Cream

As I’m getting ready for bed in the evening and going through all my normal sleepy-time routines, I love to use this homemade body butter that I have made filled with so many wonderful sleep supporting oils. Sometimes I’ll just put some on the bottoms of my feet, sometimes I use it to moisturize my whole body (especially in this dry winter air) and love that not only am I nourishing my skin, but I’m also covering my body in oils that will give me the best support as I head to bed!
Here is how I make mine—equal parts coconut oil (the kind that is solid at room temperature), shea butter, and cocoa butter. I usually end up doing about a third of cup of each. Stick all the ingredients into your stand mixer or in a bowl that you can use with your hand mixer, and begin to whip together. I always add my oils at the end (15-20 drops of each) and then let it whip together a couple more seconds. One of my favorite combos for sleepy cream is lavender, orange, peace & calming, and white angelica, although the possibilities are truly endless of what oils you can put in!
