Emotions: Panic Change Stress Lows Highs Tension Loneliness Abandonment Grief

Friend!

Let’s get vulnerable for a minute. Who can relate to some of this here…..the panic emotions that start to set in in life…… Sometimes life starts to feel like a big wave of water sweeping over your head and you’re working so hard just trying to get above it. You might be laying in bed and all the sudden feel a wave of adrenaline hitting you that screams "run". You feel like you're trapped or chained down but your body is telling you to get away! THESE are the moments of panic that I know some of you experience. I experience them too sometimes. Take heart! You're not alone!

You might feel many pressures in life as a mom, a dad, a provider, a woman, a wife, a husband etc. There are so many hats that we are all juggling and to keep up with the responsibilities and jobs that come along with each can really start to send your emotions spiraling out of control in certain seasons. There incredible tools and resources waiting for you to use so you don't have to constantly live with these feelings of entrapment!

We have oils that can bring support and balance into the emotions. We have oils that can support the brain and calm it’s reactions. We have oils that can support the hormones and level out highs and lows. We have oils that we can use in moments of panic, change, stress, lows, highs, etc.

Here is a great list that are go-tos for supporting your body in these moments. Use them often and consistently. Use them BEFORE you have these moments as well.

+Valor

On the bottoms of the feet, or a single drop on one wrist and hold the other wrist to it for a few moments to balance the entire system. Valor is a blend that is close to the heart of Gary and YL. The integrity of this valuable blend will always be of highest priority.
This is our bravery oil.
Our courage oil.
Our fortitude oil.
Use it to greet each morning with a positive attitude, and to refocus at the end of a challenging day.
It will support our brain and our body in just the right way to offer us amazing support.

+Peace and Calming

Encourages deep relaxation. Great support in your bedtime routines or to support overactive children. Uplifting. Supports tension. The legendary one and only original calming oil. For bedtime, shopping time, driving time, stressing time. Pets, kids, young, and old can benefit from its soothing power! And it's been gone for a long time.
-Apply to the chest and over the heart.
-Apply to wrists and breathe in deeply.
-Apply to temples, back and neck and ears to smell throughout the day.
-Diffuse all day.

+Frankincense

Frankincense (Boswellia carterii) was once regarded as more valuable than gold in ancient cultures. It was in recipes God gave to his people for cleansing and worship. Why? Because He understands us as physical beings. That we are a whole: body, mind, and spirit, and that we need help bringing that all together into a cohesive focus. Frankincense has been used to ground and focus the mind during times of prayer and mental strain or grief.
Frankincense also has a similar effect inside the body, encouraging the cells and functions to come back to their foundations. To help the body to remember what it does and why it does it. What should it be protecting? What should it be removing? How should it be functioning? Where should the garbage go? Frankincense quietly asks our systems all the right questions and then supports them in doing their job well. Just as it's best to surround ourselves daily with those who are wise, it's also good to give ourselves frequent exposure to this ancient, revered oil. Who doesn't need a daily dose of calming, grounded influence?!
-Apply to the chest and over the heart.
-Apply to wrists and breathe in deeply.
-Apply to temples, back and neck and ears to smell throughout the day.
-Diffuse all day.
-Add to capsule or drink to consume internally.

+Grounding
Just what it says, this blend helps us to get rooted, think more clearly, and let the frantic unnecessary melt into the background. Grounding Essential Oil is a very emotional relaxing oil that contains seven therapeutic grade oils.
This oil will stabilize and calm a person on first application. This is a good oil for those who make poor choices in relationships, work or home because they simply are in denial of their own true reality.
Many times this happens because we just don't know how to deal with the emotional component so we get stuck and can't move forward. This oil can help.
-Apply to the chest and over the heart.
-Apply to wrists and breathe in deeply.
-Apply to temples, back and neck and ears to smell throughout the day.
-Diffuse all day.

+Lavender

For centuries lavender has been used for sleep. It has been put into pillows and mattresses, wrapped up with clothes, added to handkerchiefs (hello, diffuser) and used in aromatherapy for relaxation. It has been added to all kinds of tonics and potions for skin and smelling salts for fragile ladies whose corsets were tied a little too tight.
Add to diffuser for calming and sleep
- Apply to palms and inhale deeply when upset or tense
- Add to skincare recipes or directly to soothe skin
- Apply to sinus areas to soothe the respiratory system, especially with seasonal changes
- Rub on tiny feet for comfort

The benefits you experience with lemon in your first year of oiling may differ from the benefits you see in 3-4 years. It continues working on layers of toxins and emotions stored in the body, bringing the body into a state of ideal frequency and purity.
I say this, because lemon is an oil you can get comfortable using multiple times a day, making it easy to forget how powerful it truly is, but it is one of the most frequently praised essential oils when it comes to testimonies of improved health and emotional wellness. A good rule of thumb for lemon is to keep it somewhere easily accessible, because it really is an Everyday Oil!
Make a habit of adding lemon to drinking water, because physical detox creates a holistic effect! This can help with clarity and relieving the emotions that come from a toxic body.
- For releasing feelings of emptiness, heaviness, and dark thoughts, try lemon and Joy applied to the spine and diffused together.
- When you feel weepy or sad, try a drop of lemon diluted with carrier oil right in the center of the forehead and focus on the word “Joy.”
- For a general sense of emptiness, apply lemon (with a carrier oil if desired) across the breastbone area and diffuse.
- Combine with lavender in the diffuser for feelings of loneliness and abandonment

Each person is different so how your body responds to these will vary. Try each one consistently to find YOUR blend. I suggest using lemon with each as your body is coping with stress.

There are so so many more oils that you can use! What oils do you use in these moments?

Sleepy Baby Routine!

Love this info from sweet Kristen Rae Critz!

This routine has been so sweet for us every night. Doing a bedtime routine is really important as a "signal" for the babes to know that it's time for sleep. Being consistent with it really helps to unwind your babe. We have been moving Ford's bedtime earlier every night so that he gets enough rest and having this routine has helped so much.

For baby Ford, we have been doing bath time every night with the seedlings shampoo and wash, then I take him upstairs and rub him down with the seedlings lotion and apply Lavender + Peace and Calming.

+SEEDLING SHAMPOO & BODY WASH:
Young Living Seedlings™ Baby Wash & Shampoo is formulated specially for infants’ delicate skin. Its mild, gentle formula is tear-free, sulfate-free, and made from 100 percent plant-based, naturally derived ingredients. It leaves skin and hair clean, soft, and smooth and makes tangles easy to comb out.

There are THREE key ingredients, Lavender EO, eyebright extract and Calendula extract.
So lets take it a bit deeper and talk about the "tear free" formula. Most products that make claims for "tear free" still have warnings that say to "rinse eyes with water immediately" if the shampoo gets in their eyes. BUT OURS DOESN'T HAVE THAT WARNING!!! Why?

Ours has eye bright extract! So not only is it tear free and wont hurt their eyes, but if it gets into the eyes it actually promotes eye health.

How amazing is this?! That is the baseline of YL! Not only are they removing the BAD but they are replacing the bad with something that is actually beneficial for our bodies.

Made without alcohol, parabens, synthetic fragrances, artificial dyes, or other unwanted ingredients, Seedlings Baby Lotion is formulated with 100 percent plant-based ingredients and pure essential oils to soothe your little one with a light, calming scent.

It’s this dynamic aroma that has made the flower a classic for perfumes, soaps, fresheners, and beauty products. As one of our most popular products, Lavender oil is a great beginner oil and a must for every home.

LOVE this from Casey Leigh Wiegand:

Adelaide was my first Oily Pregnancy, my First Oily PostPartum experience and now she's my first Oily baby !

I have LOVED these three oils for her! (she's now 7 months old) They have been AMAZING. I put all three in a roller ( I will let you decide for yourself how many drops since all our littles are different)....then filled the rest with v6 carrier oil from Young Living and I roll it on her spine/ chest and feet daily. Usually a couple of times a day!

Its a beautiful wellness roller with gentle oils to support her tiny body! Not to mention it smells dreamy  ;)

( video here on how to make a roller:https://vimeo.com/187998723)

+ "Gentle Baby™ is a soft, fragrant combination of essential oils designed specifically for mothers and babies. It helps calm emotions during pregnancy and is useful for quieting troubled little ones. It is also soothing to tender skin. Many of the essential oils in this blend are used in elite cosmetics to enhance a youthful appearance."

Remember, it's our sweet Grandmother oil! Gentle, soft, comforting, relaxing, and all about making us at home. This is the Swiss Army knife of oils, good for anything!

+Frank. Just read up on the benefits of frank & the support power of frank You want this going on your families daily. Not to mention its grounding!

HAPPY TEETH FOR BABIES.

You know it.... the tears start to come, the fussy moments, those new teeth are trying hard to poke through! Ouch!

+ COPAIBA ( oil comes in the Starter Kit)

1. Wash your hands!
2. Add a drop of Copaiba to your finger ( “neat”, or mixed with a little coconut oil ) and apply directly to gums.

Just gently massage that spot and the gumline. This will help support circulation and support the pressure in that spot!

Using Supplements & Oils during Pregnancy, Birth & Postpartum

(Based off the class taught by Dr. Cindy Haggerton)
Hydration is a big step in maintaining a healthy pregnancy! Drink plenty of liquids throughout your entire pregnancy and while you are nursing.
Before taking an oil internally, smell it to prevent adverse effects. Next, try applying the oil to the skin with a carrier oil. 1 tsp of carrier oil for every 1 drop of oil.
Drink plenty of Ningxia Red throughout pregnancy and have on hand for labor and nursing
Preterm labor - examine emotional needs and endocrine system support
Constant stress plays a role in labor and delivery. Use Endoflex on the neck, lower back and base of ribs for stress support. Can be used throughout entire pregnancy. Nutmeg, myrtle, myrrh and cedarwood can also be used for adrenal support.
Magnesium should be taken during pregnancy for circulatory support. SuperCal provides calcium and magnesium.
Avoid Jasmine before birth, but is helpful for placenta release
